History All Around You: Gateview
Located at the end of the Lake Fork Spur, this remote, scenic campground sits in a canyon of the Lake Fork of the Gunnison River.
Find fishing and river access, interpretive signs about the area's early narrow gauge railroad history, camping sites, hiking trail, and picnic spots.
This campground is located in the Curecanti National Recreation Area. There is a hiking trail from this campground that follows the river down stream to Blue Mesa Reservoir.
Elevation is 7500 feet.

From Lake City, travel north on Highway 149 for about 21 miles, turning off to the left onto County Road 25. In just over 2 miles, the road forks; take the fork to the right (straight), which is County Road 64. Continue for approximately 5 miles to the end of the road where you will find the campground.
