Located in Lake City, at the corner of Third and Silver Streets, the park is a focal point of the downtown.  Features include:
  • Accessible public restrooms (closed in winter)
  • Accessible parking and paths
  • Picnic tables
  • Playground
  • Volleyball court, sand
  • Grassy open area

Lake Fork Memorial Park

Located at the confluence of Henson Creek and the Lake Fork of the Gunnison River.  Features include:
  • Accessible public restrooms
  • Catering kitchen
  • Accessible parking and paths
  • Playground
  • Skate park
  • Grassy open area with soccer field and softball field
  • Accessible fishing pier
  • Public fishing access
  • Trail loop around the perimeter

Lake City Community School Playground

Located in the 600 Block between Silver Street and Gunnison Avenue.  Features include:

Lake City is lucky to have several publicly owned parks and recreation facilities, plus a municipal recreation department that offers year round programs for all ages.

Recreation Department
The Lake City Recreation Department offers a variety of free or low-cost programs and facilities for citizens of, and visitors to, Lake City.  Indoor and outdoor programs are available to all ages and abilities.

Lake City Ice Park

Our small public ski area is located one mile south of town.  See more here.

Ski or snowshoe to the highest back country hut system in Colorado.
