Lake City Arts Programs
Find a current schedule of these and other programs at our Events Calendar.
Music Lake City Arts is host to two music series, the Summer Music Series, featuring folk, world, country and western, and honky tonk musicians; and the Chamber Music Series, with special guests from around the country. Dance Lake City is home to not one, but two dance groups: the Magdalene Dancers, a belly-dance troupe, and the Lakettes, a clogging group. Both groups schedule performances to sell-out crowds each year. Theatre Our local theatre group, Cabin Fever Players hosts a crowd-pleasing production, usually a comedy, each year. Visual Arts This summer series starts each year with the Local Artists Exhibit, and includes three other month-long exhibits, each featuring the work of local artists. Youth Programs for young people include an annual visit by Colorado Opera, and Youth Art Camps in visual and theatrical arts. Arts & Crafts Shows These annual shows are popular outdoor events that feature quality craftsmanship under the backdrop of the beautiful Lake Fork Valley and the Lake City Historic District. |
