Mill Creek Campground Features

From Lake City, take Highway 149 south for about 2 miles to the junction of County Road 30. Take a right, and continue for about 7.5 miles. Mill Creek Campground is on the left, over the bridge.

Easy Alpine Loop Access: Mill Creek
Just off of the the Alpine Loop Byway, the Williams Creek Campground is in a beautiful valley location and offers public fishing access on the Lake Fork of the Gunnison River. It is conveniently located near the Handies Peak and Redcloud Peak Wilderness Study Areas. It is located about 9.5 miles from Lake City, Colorado. Off-highway vehicle (OHV) owners should note that both ATVs and motorcyles can be driven directly from this campground onto the Alpine Loop. Elevation is 9500 feet. View in a larger map |
