A Tenter's Paradise: Hidden Valley
Hidden Valley Campground, for tents only, is a great spot for picnics, camping, fishing, and as a base camp for the amenities along Cebolla Creek. It is conveniently located near the Powderhorn and La Garita Wilderness Areas.
This tiny gem, with just three campsites for tents, is located about 16 miles from downtown Lake City, Colorado.
Elevation is 9700 feet.

From Lake City, head south on Highway 149 for 9 miles, almost to the top of Slumgullion Pass. Turn left onto FS Road 788. Go about 7 miles. Hidden Valley Campground is on the right.
Caution: the driveway is not suitable for trailers or large RVs.
